Every Sundaze candle is crafted to transform your space and mood — but a little care goes a long way.
Candle Care
Step 1: Trim
Before lighting your candle each time, trim the wick to about ¼ inch. This helps ensure a clean, even burn without smoke or soot. For optimal results, consider using a wick trimmer specifically designed for candles. Also, always place your candle on a heat-resistant surface to protect your furniture.
Step 2: Burn
For the first burn, let the candle melt evenly across the entire surface—this usually takes at least 3 hours. You may notice some “wax wall,” which is completely normal and helps prevent tunnelling.
After this initial burn, avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Stop using it once the wax level reaches about ¼ inch to maintain safety and performance.
Every Sundaze candle is crafted to transform your space and mood — but a little care goes a long way. Treat your candle right, and it’ll reward you with a cleaner, longer, and more beautiful burn every time. Here’s how to make the most of your Sundaze experience.

Step 3: Centre
Keep the wick centred during use. After each burn, while the wax is still soft, gently adjust the wick as needed to keep it centred in the candle.
Step 4: Upcycle
When there is only ¼ to ½ inch of wax left, it’s time to retire your candle. Remove any remaining wax before repurposing the glass container.
For easy wax removal, place your candle jar in the freezer until the wax hardens and contracts—it should then pop out effortlessly, ready for upcycling or reuse.
Upcycling Ideas:
- Repurpose as a chic planter for small succulents or air plants. It’s a beautiful way to bring a touch of greenery indoors.
- Elegant desk organiser: hold pens, makeup brushes, or other small essentials on your desk or vanity.
- Decorative Storage: Store cotton pads, jewellery, or other tiny items inside the glass to keep your space tidy.
- Bathroom Accessory: Use the glass as a holder for toothbrushes or cotton swabs.
